I’ve done some various Steam Workshop stuff and minimal modding in addition to tacking around with RPG Maker. Here’s a full page on my various works of projects.

Game Projects:

L8zy 8 Tower

I don’t have any screenshots nor the source code for the game, but I’ll provide it in the future. To sum it up, it was a rogue-like game made at a Java Programming Summer Course with a friend of mine. It’s incredibly basic, so there’s no attacking and the only thing you can really do is dodge. Surprisingly, it doesn’t have as many bugs (except for one where hitting an enemy makes your sprite disappear and you don’t get damage til you move away) and it’s actually randomly generated, so each room is a different size. Not a different shape unfortunately. We also added a shit ton of silly commands you can put in that do nothing at all.

I enjoyed it, although should I make a new version of the game I would probably include High Scores and a lot more interesting random generation. I actually thought the inability to attack made the game better, as the tight corridors gave the game an actual challenge.

The name “Lazy 8” basically means the 8 being sideways (making an infinity symbol), which was a cool thing I came up with. The final name ended up being “L8zy 8 Tower” due to losing a bet in Counter-Strike.

Steam Workshop/Level Editor Stuff:

Battleblock Theater: Fight for Friends (Solo/Muckle Arenas)

Fight for Friends: Muckle Arenas!

I took part for the closed beta they had of Battleblock Theater on Steam. One of the things Behemoth asked us to do was to test out the Steam Workshop, and that’s where these levels originated from. In terms of level design, I’d consider them pretty flat. At best they are combat arenas for a game that had pretty stiff combat, so they aren’t too impressive. Really enjoyed the feedback I got on the levels though. I also made a multiplayer playlist featuring really cheap and stupid maps I’ve made for the game’s competitive mode.

Fight for Friends 2:

Did I mention that I made a sequel as well? I basically fixed up the complaints many had with the original and now it’s a lot more of a platformer adventure. I originally was going to do muckle levels but never did them. Personally, I really liked what I did with these levels, but they aren’t the best in terms of effort.

Sadly I don’t think many of the people that played the original ever looked at it ;_;

Portal 2 Levels:

Aperture Science Ninja Simulator Testing Facility

Yes i know i spelled it wrong shut up

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=174275847

I made this a few years back, it was alright I guess. I basically used the various Portal 2 objects to simulate a ninja-like adventure. The Faith Plates were like wall jumping, it was pretty fun. This is probably the only Portal 2 level I made that wasn’t turret spam or had pretty shitty level design.

It’s a successor to a level I made earlier: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=401750490

You can view my other two levels here:

The other two were made from a iD Tech Camp modding lesson. They’re pretty eh.

The Nikoback Collection (Blockstorm Skins)

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=498538019

The first one I made, The Red Stock (AK-47 Skin)
My personal favorite, “The Pellet Muncher”. Based off of Pac-Man of course
A Red Stock version of the game’s version of a LMG. Includes a suppressor and horribly made bipod.
The GBR (Game Boy Radar) which is a skin for the Radar used in one of it’s game modes. I really liked what I did with this one.

Earlier in the Summer of 2015 I made some skins for Blockstorm. They’re pretty harmless and alright, but I’m kinda surprised that a lot of people liked the skins I thought took no effort to make haha

I like how the tool works though. It’s really easy to make simple weapon skins or completely new weapons based off of the ones in-game. There’s a lot of freedom and depth to it, and because it’s voxel-based it’s much easier to create. Such a shame this game isn’t as popular, because it’s editor freaking rocks.
